Patrick Henigan is a partner at Direct Insurance Services and the licensed agent behind every policy bound through the agency.
Patrick grew up in Dewitt, Michigan. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps, where he was meritoriously promoted and deployed once to Afghanistan. Following his honorable separation from the Marines, he attended DePaul University in Chicago, studying Marketing and Business Management while beginning his career in insurance.
Patrick has worked every level of the agency side of the business — customer service representative, agency acquisitions, sales, agency manager, and agency owner. He holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation through the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.
At DIS, Patrick handles all quoting and binding. Operators reach him after the consultative review work — Bobby Friel reviews contracts, governing documents, and existing coverage to surface gaps before quotes get bound; Patrick takes verified requirements through the carrier process to coverage that actually matches the operator's contracts and risk profile.
Patrick is currently appointed and binding cyber insurance for healthcare, e-commerce, and technology businesses, alongside the agency's full commercial book: contractors, HOAs, restaurants, commercial landlords, and cyber-exposed businesses across 29 states.
Patrick is based at DIS headquarters in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
